The IITM programme has now seen five cohorts graduate who have since moved into a diverse range of very successful careers. Here, our alumni reflect on their experiences on the programme, discuss their careers to date and offer some words of wisdom to aspiring scientists.

Eleanor Denham is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Oxford.

Joannah Fergusson is a post-doctoral researcher at the Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam.

Oliver Harrison is a visiting fellow at the National Institutes of Health, USA.

Joe Illingworth is the Chief Scientific Officer of a start-up biotech company based in Oxford.

Kristin Kallapur (née Griffiths) is a Senior Scientific Researcher at Genentech in South San Francisco.

Amy Kenyon is about to start a post-doctoral research position at Instituto Clinco Humanitas in Milan.

Chris Schiering is a Sir Henry Wellcome Fellow at the Crick Institute, London.

Simon Spiro is a Resident in Anatomic Pathology at the Royal Veterinary College in London and a pathology fellow at the Animal and Plant Health Agency.

Richard Wheeler is a co-PI at the University of Oxford.
